Jungle Jane

When not performing or running workshops, Jane spends her time traveling the world in order to research her wonderful creations. Here are a few of the places visited and some pictures taken by Jane to give you a flavour of what is required from an intrepid explorer/puppet-maker!

BORNEO

Jane has visited twice so far, mainly to study her favourite primate – the wonderful proboscis monkey. Unique to Borneo, Jane was able to get very close indeed. She also encountered the silver leaf monkey, another favourite. Plus hornbills, macaques and elephants

AFRICA

After traveling through Kenya and Uganda Jane finally met up with the amazing mountain gorillas of Rwanda. The best part was when a youngster touched her face – quite wonderful. She also visited a chimp sanctuary in Uganda, which was a great place to gain information for her Funky Monkey Workshop

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Another unique experience – swimming with dolphins. Jane also met some friendly toucans (see Monkey Business)

SHAPWICK HEATH, SOMERSET

Whilst researching for “An Otter’s Tale”, Jane was lucky enough to observe otters, watervole and herons at her local wildlife reserve

Jane is also available to give talks, complete with photos, of her various adventures. Please contact for further details
